After 13 years of ensuring everything was "perfect" as a Quality Manager in a pharmaceutical company, life decided to throw me a bit of a curveball. Or, more accurately, it handed me a redundancy package and a very clear sign.

For over a decade, my world was defined by strict regulations, metrics and audit trails. But lately? My house has been slowly disappearing under a mountain of ceramic creatures, perfectly imperfect mugs, and "experimental" vases. It’s reached a point where my family is afraid to open cupboards for fear of a pottery-lanche.

So, here I am. I’m trading my spreadsheets for a splash-pan, and turning my "too many pots" problem into a business.

I won’t lie: I am terrified. Going from a steady paycheck to hoping people like my glaze choices is a specific kind of daunting. The company was incredibly supportive during the transition, but now that the safety net is gone, I’m standing here covered in clay dust, dragging my feet just a little bit.

Is it a dream? Yes. Is it a midlife adventure? Absolutely. Am I worried I’ll accidentally try to audit my home pottery studio? Only slightly.

It’s messy, it’s scary, and my fingernails may never be clean again—but let’s see how this wheel spins. Thanks for joining me on the journey!
